De laatste jaren is de nanotechnologie aan een ware opmars bezig. De techniek die minuscule deeltjes gebruikt voor toepassingen allerhande, is in volle ontwikkeling én betekent big business. Maar over de gezondheidsrisico’s is nog bitter weinig geweten. Een en ander wordt duidelijk uit het vierde Nanoforum-rapport ‘Benefits, risks, ethical, legal and social aspects of nanotechnology’ van juni 2004. Nanoforum is een thematisch netwerk dat door de Europese Commissie gesponsord wordt.
