Het basaal reproductiegetal R0 is een begrip dat tijdens de coronacrisis vaak aan bod kwam in de media. Dit getal kan echter aanleiding geven tot een verkeerde representatie, misinterpretatie en foutieve toepassing. Daarnaast werden we ook nog eens overstelpt met allerhande andere getallen en grafieken. Arbeidsarts Wim Van Hooste schept in dit artikel duidelijkheid over het belang van het basaal reproductiegetal tijdens de Covid-19-pandemie.
