eCall komt eraan in 2018!

Het eCall-systeem, dat reeds was aangekondigd voor 2015, zal pas vanaf 2018 verplicht worden. Afgaande op de voortgang van het wetgevingsproces, zullen de autoconstructeurs vanaf 31 maart 2018 verplicht worden alle nieuwe voertuigen uit te rusten met draadloze systemen die automatisch het alarmnummer 112 bellen wanneer het voertuig bij een ongeval betrokken raakt. De infrastructuur voor het eCall-systeem zou tegen 1 oktober 2017 operationeel moeten zijn.
